July 4th Independence Day
"Olde Tyme Kids Games"

An Independence tradition for more than 50 years! Kids of all ages are invited to participate. Adults are invited to join in the fun. (They are the biggest kids of all!)

The games are held in Dehy Park in this Independence Chamber of Commerce sponsored event.

 

Events include "Sack Races", 3 Legged Sack Race, Water Balloon Toss and Wheelbarrow races. The "kids" are separated into age groups for competition. Winners will receive trophies and ribbons.

 

 

Olde Tyme Frog Contests
The highlight of the games is the Frog Jumping Contest for all ages. Awards are given to the "handler" for the frog achieving the longest jump.

The most beautiful and ugliest frogs and two new events...best looking frog legs and best frog joke also win prizes

 

Even the "best dressed" frog wins a prize.

You and your family are invited to join in all the fun.
